Thank you, 2024, Looking Back on a Year of Great Projects!

A year ago, we were scanning the horizon, wondering what 2024 would bring. While some predicted an economic slowdown or even a recession, others anticipated the recovery of an economy that had managed to avoid the worst. Who was right? It seems that everyone had a point, judging by what we see now in the rear-view mirror. While growth was evident for some, others in the same field experienced a more pronounced slowdown.

At CDC, 2024 was a very good year, with captivating and ambitious projects, combining strategy, creation, expertise and versatility - just like our talented team. Here's a selection:

Espace Aéro, Quebec's New Innovation Zone

Last May, the Quebec government announced the creation of a new innovation zone dedicated to the aerospace industry. The purpose of innovation zones is to provide incentives that attract companies and projects from around the world, strengthening key sectors like aerospace.

To position and establish itself as a destination of excellence, Aéro Montréal entrusted CDC with the mandate to develop the branding program for the "Espace Aéro” zone. This ambitious initiative brought together some of the biggest names in Quebec’s aviation and aeronautics sectors, who participated in a series of brainstorming workshops that laid the groundwork for the creative team's work.

Ralentis le tempo - A Hair-Raising Campaign for Ville de Mascouche

2024 was an important year for the town of Mascouche, for which we carried out several dozen mandates. Among these, the second chapter of the speed reduction campaign entitled "Ralentis le tempo” led to the production of an advertisement starring popular actress Carmen Sylvestre and her son François Sylvestre in the role of maestro. This colourful, fast-paced, humorous campaign presents the daily life of a hurried mother taking her children to school. Her hurried run, accompanied by a well-known classical tune, is monitored by a Maestro who tries to slowdown the pace. The fast-paced, hair-raising ride reaches its climax when the Maestro manages to restore a calmer flow of traffic. The ad got a great response from the public, many of whom commented on the positive, realistic and humorous aspects.

Flair&Cie - Moving Into Clinic Mode

The collaboration with Flair&Cie reached new heights this year as the brand was applied across all the clinics of the 100% Quebec-owned group. In addition to supporting the team for many years in their communications, this year CDC worked on the brand image and its deployment, the employer brand, the content strategy, the management of social medias and the redesign of the website.

Centre de création Boisbriand - Culture Flourishes in Our Region!

In 2024, we had the privilege of leading a strategic reflection to propel the Centre de création Boisbriand (CCB) to the heart of the arts scene. Our mission: to promote its mission, clarify its services and enhance its reputation. The result was a structured communications plan, accompanied by concrete actions and targeted recommendations.

Among the first achievements was a brand-new visual identity and a modern website, launched last fall. Explore the results of these efforts on the CCB website and immerse yourself in the world of creativity!

Diffusair - 35 Years, The Perfect Time for a Change of Scenery!

Diffusair, a company specializing in air conditioning, ventilation, and heating is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the company mandated CDC with the task of redesigning its corporate image to better reflect its unique personality. This extensive process, which spanned throughout several weeks, brought together managers, long-standing employees, and the next generation of Diffusair team members. They were all guided by a dynamic, open, and approachable leadership team. The project reached completion at the end of 2024, and the results are now visible across Quebec: the company's new vehicles are hitting the roads, the revamped website is live, and Diffusair's teams are proudly showcasing the new corporate colors. A true celebration of 35 years of excellence and innovation!

2025 will fly by, leading up to CDC's 30th anniversary in 2026. Thirty years is no small achievement and allows us to see just how much the field has evolved—and will continue to do so. Many people seem skeptical when it comes to saying "the past guarantees the future”. While it's true that we can't rely entirely and solely on the past, it does teach us that teamwork, attentiveness, collaboration and flexibility remain key concepts that will stand the test of time. Everything else may well continue to change.
